BDO announces two new partners

Meenakshi Iyer joins BDO as a tax partner, specialising in transfer pricing. With over 17 years of experience advising large corporates and mid-sized businesses, her role at BDO will see Meenakshi continue this with a particular specialism in the technology, media and telecoms sectors and operational transfer pricing.

In addition to Meenakshi’s appointment, the firm has also promoted its Chief Information Officer (CIO), Stuart Walters to partner. Stuart joined BDO in 2017, having more than twenty years’ experience delivering technical solutions within large organisations.

During the last five and a half years Stuart has led a number of significant transformational technology projects including BDO’s merger with Moore Stephens LLP in 2019 and the firm’s shift to working fully-remotely at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. His role as partner will see him focus on technology services, digital products and innovation. Stuart also sits on BDO’s Global IT Committee. Both Stuart and Meenakshi are based in London.

Paul Eagland, Managing Partner at BDO commented:

“As businesses continue to expand their global operations, complex international tax advice including transfer pricing is in high demand. Meenakshi’s experience and knowledge in this area will be an excellent addition to our expert tax team.

“Stuart’s promotion to partner also demonstrates our commitment to investing in our people and technology. Stuart has made a huge impact in his time at BDO as CIO. Technology and innovation will play a crucial role in the future growth of the firm as we continue to help our people and businesses succeed.”

Since the start of this year, BDO has appointed 17 external partners. In addition to Stuart’s promotion, BDO recently announced that Kaley Crossthwaite and Anna Draper have been promoted to the firm’s leadership team as of 1st July.
