BDO strengthens financial services team
BDO strengthens financial services team
Mads Hannibal joins the firm’s financial services (FS) team. He has 18 years of regulatory compliance and authorisation experience including seven years spent working at the Financial Services Authority (since split into the PRA and FCA).
Within his role at BDO, Mads will lead the firm’s authorisation practice as well as working closely with the Prudential Risk Team, continuing to support clients with their implementation of the FCA’s Investment Firm Prudential Regime (IFPR). He joins from KPMG and will be based in London.
Commenting on his appointment, Mads said:
“I am delighted to be joining BDO’s high-performing FS team. It is a busy time as the market adjusts to regulator change and the continued impact of challenges such as Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the current global geopolitical situation.
“I look forward to put my experience and knowledge to use, supporting the wider team and servicing both new and existing BDO clients as the advisory practice continues to grow.”
Paul Eagland, Managing Partner at BDO added:
“Financial services firms are operating within increasingly complex regulatory environments and require high quality expertise in an adviser. We’ve continued to invest in our FS offering, with Mads being the fourth new partner appointed to the team in the last six months.
“Bringing almost two decades of experience, including time spent working for the regulator, Mads will be a valuable and welcome addition to the team.”
Since the start of this year BDO has appointed eight external individuals as partners across the firm.
