BDO ranked top advisor to scale-ups

For the second year running BDO has been ranked the top advisor to scale-ups by the ScaleUp Institute. Each year the ScaleUp Institute conducts a survey to measure the growth of the scale-up market by region and sector and assess the challenges facing businesses scaling across the country. Findings from the research undertaken in 2023 and 2022 revealed that BDO had advised more scale-ups than any other firms based on latest financial accounts.

Consequently, when the ScaleUp Institute was seeking an accountancy firm to partner with earlier this year, BDO was the natural choice. Mark Sykes, Head of Entrepreneurial Business, BDO has been appointed to the Board and senior partners from the firm will be joining the Institute’s four thematic committees to share insights and evidence, discuss latest policy developments and make recommendations for action.

As a lead partner to the ScaleUp Institute, BDO is working alongside the London Stock Exchange, BGF, British Business Bank, Innovate UK and others supporting the ScaleUp Britain campaign to drive the growth agenda.

Since the launch of the ScaleUp Britain campaign at the London Stock Exchange in March, BDO has supported events in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow and Leeds providing experts for panel discussions on funding opportunities for female entrepreneurs and demystifying the funding landscape. The tour will be visiting other regions over the next twelve months.
