Gary Drennan

Gary leads our Global Offerings & Accounting Advisory Services, EMEA practice. Gary joined BDO in 2008, and spent 7 years in BDO USA’s National Office in the SEC Department in Chicago. Prior to that, Gary worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC in London and Silicon Valley, California.

Gary is responsible for oversight, review and approval of BDO clients and engagement teams with US accounting and reporting matters. He works across many sectors including technology and media, consumer markets and natural resources.

His specialisms include:

• Cross-border securities offerings – both debt and equity US capital market transactions, - Listed securities offerings, Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings
• IPO readiness for entry to US capital markets – Management and accounting advisory services, listing requirements, GAAP conversions, prospectus preparation and reporting obligations supporting clients based mainly outside of the United States through the complexity of preparing for such offerings
• SEC reporting matters in connection with U.S. IPOs (EMEA region), business combinations, revenue recognition, dispositions, restructurings, debt and equity financings, and other transactions
• International GAAP conversion projects- IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP and international local GAAP (bringing in local expertise from BDO’s international network as needed.
