Executive summary

I lead the BDO Life Sciences & Healthcare Transaction Services team. I love working with clients and their advisers to lead sell side, buy side, refinancing and carve out due diligence projects in the sector.

My client base is a mix of mid-market PE and corporates focused on the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector.

I have focused on providing due diligence services in the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector for over 14 years completing more than 150 deals. This gives me a broad spectrum of experience covering everything from drug discovery, development, commercialisation and associated pharma services to medical products & devices, community pharmacy, dentistry, ophthalmology, care homes, childcare, NHS trusts and many things in between.

Having spent a year holding various conversations and building relationships across the BDO LS&H team with a large PE backed portfolio company we got an opportunity to support them on a complex, oversees, strategically important transaction that would be transformative to their growth plans. The engagement involved me leading a team of BDO specialists covering Corporate Finance, Tax Due Diligence, Commercial Due Diligence and Value Creation Services to deliver focused diligence on the key deal issues for our client. Working in a collaborative fashion we delivered, on time, a concise and issue focused report that was very well received by our client. Subsequent to that transaction we maintained the relationship and supported the company & management on a number of other transactions.

I am an avid skier, average runner/gym goer and an exceptional taxi driver & spectator to my 3 young boys for their various sporting commitments. Being a father of 3 means life outside of work is busy but spending time with them and getting the odd opportunity to sit down helps me to keep life in balance.
