Howard Lungley

Howard is a sustainability specialist of over 25 years' experience, including leading BT's operational environmental strategy and 18 years in sustainability-focussed engineering and management consultancy.

He now leads our Carbon Advisory practice within the Sustainability & ESG Hub of BDO UK, supporting the integration of climate expertise into BDO's services and leading the delivery of carbon accounting, net-zero transition and climate-related consultancy.

Howard is also an accomplished board-level advisor having developed and secured approval for science-based targets in several major businesses, led decarbonisation strategies and net-zero roadmaps for organisations, infrastructure programmes and clusters. As a highly experienced carbon accountant, he draws upon his background in management consulting, risk and strategy to develop leading-edge solutions to clients' emerging sustainability challenges.
