A partner in the tax transaction support offering at BDO, advising Private Equity funds and corporates on acquisitions, disposals and refinancings (including bridge debt refinancing and whole business securitisations).

Typically the above includes the preparation of due diligence or vendor due diligence reports and the structuring of acquisitions, disposals and refinancings to minimise tax leakage. It is common for there to be an international angle to the transactions, relying on the extensive international BDO network.

Lee works with a number of companies and groups owned by Private Equity Funds. The benefit to these groups, regardless of industry, is an understanding of the typical issues the equity owners may face, and the unforeseen tax issues that Private Equity Ownership can bring.

Other client work has involved a number of IPOs (on the main list and on AIM, the junior market in London) and listed debt offerings.

He has also helped individuals incorporate private equity funds, typically in the UK.
