Michael Simms

Michael has more than 25 years of leading assurance, advisory and regulatory reporting assignments to companies in the shipping & transport, energy, mining and renewables sectors. This includes UK and international clients, comprising both listed and privately owned businesses.

Michael has used this experience to develop his practice into the consultancy field, including advising companies on capital market transactions, due diligence investigations, agreed-upon procedures, financial reporting and bespoke modelling assignments.

He has extensive knowledge of UKGAAP, IFRS and USGAAP and how they affect companies. He regularly advises clients on the application of good corporate governance and enterprise risk management systems. 

Michael has a strong interest in international business and has 20 years' experience of advising companies across the Middle East and more than 10 years' experience of working in Russia.

Michael is a chartered accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
