Nick Poulter

I am the Local Head of Audit for BDO in the South East, leading a team of 250 across the Surrey and Sussex region. As a specialist in the technology sector, I work with a wide range of high-growth and international businesses, many of which are listed, or private equity-backed.

Prior to training as a chartered accountant, I worked in publishing (both printed media, and on-line); and owned and operated a cafe. As such, I have a balanced perspective of the world of business and am well placed to advise businesses.

My specialties include technology companies, listed audits, private equity backed groups, international groups.

Outside of work you will mostly find me, running, cycling, or supporting my children’s various sporting interests. I am passionate about education and have been an Audit Committee member of the Open University since 2014, as well as spending time on the Boards of Godalming College and Busbridge Infants School. I also run BDO Velo’s virtual rides on Zwift.
