Nicola Small

I am an audit Partner with over 16 years’ experience of providing business assurance and advisory services. I am keen to develop a deep understanding of my audited entities and deliver quality, robust audits in this ever changing and complex corporate reporting, auditing and governance environment.

I have a diverse portfolio of private and listed audited entities in a variety of different sectors, including manufacturing, travel, retail, green energy and technology and media. I have significant experience of AIM and FTSE companies, and work with international businesses helping to ensure reporting on a timely basis often liaising with several BDO member firms overseas. I have guided entities through significant internal changes, expansion through acquisitions, external sales and IPOs.

I began my career at BDO as a school leaver and am passionate about sharing my experiences of accessing the profession through this route.

Outside of work I am kept busy with my young children and burning off their never ending energy levels, along with our major house renovation project.
