Owen Pettifor

I am an audit partner working with businesses across many sectors, including technology, which I lead on for BDO South East, air transportation, defence, manufacturing, life sciences, consumer goods, retail and natural resources.

From University I worked in the defence industry as a mathematician for 6 years before moving to a Big Four firm to train as an accountant where I stayed for 13 years before joining BDO in 2018.

With foundations as a mathematician developing algorithms, I love to find order from chaos using full-data solutions and interpreting data with the benefit of a detailed process understanding. My focus is on delivering high quality, robust audits with accurate and transparent reporting to the business and its stakeholders. I audit entities reporting under UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.

My current engagements include a mix of listed groups as well as a number of private-equity backed businesses and the UK operations of foreign multinational groups.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our growing zoo of pets, running and football.
