Richard Montague

Richard specialises in private client work, with his main focus being on entrepreneurs.  His client base consists of UHNW families (and their family offices) predominantly living in the UK, but with international interests.

In recent years Richard has become the lead adviser to many high profile Tech entrepreneurs and works closely with both his clients and their advisers to structure their business interests and family/private wealth resulting from liquidating events and profit extraction.

Richard was Chairman of the International Private Client Group of BDO International from 2014 to 2019 and still travels regularly to the world’s largest financial centres to meet with his BDO colleagues and his external contacts to share knowledge and develop business on a global level.

Richard has over 20 years tax experience, has been with BDO since June 2000 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He is recognised as a leading adviser to private clients within the industry as shown by various awards and accolades.
