Ryan Ferguson

Ryan is a Chartered Accountant and audit partner within BDO's Natural Resources and Energy team, specialising in energy and mining. He has substantial experience working with companies throughout their life cycle, from companies with early stage exploration projects through to international FTSE 350 mining and oil and gas groups.

He has extensive experience working with international businesses, including the audit of groups with operations across Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.

He spends a large portion of his time on site visiting operations and supporting management. He has developed significant experience of complex financial reporting, latest governance developments and narrative and strategic reporting trends.

He was previously seconded to BDO's corporate finance team and have since continued to work closely with clients as they seek share placing, acquisitions and IPOs. Recent projects include Petra Diamond's move from AIM to the Main Market and subsequent $300m bond placing, Green Dragon Gas's move from AIM to the Main Market and a number of AIM IPOs.

Specialties: International businesses with complex structures and challenges. This includes oil and gas services, oil and gas and mining exploration and production businesses.
