Simon Greaves is a partner based in the London office leading the Quantitative Risk Advisory & Valuation Services practice delivering a suite of risk and portfolio valuation offerings in addition to expert witness and litigation support services.
He has more than 25 years of experience in financial services across trading, risk management and risk advisory with a focus on global traded markets.
Simon trained with KPMG before working in investment banking firstly at Credit Suisse where he ran the IPV functions for the global emerging markets and structured FX derivatives businesses.
Simon then moved to Sumitomo Finance International where he was global head of market risk management with responsibility for both the valuation and risk management for all asset classes across cash and derivatives.
In the years running up to the crisis Simon worked in the CDO market. As a managing director at Fitch Ratings focused on CDOs and structured credit Simon also headed the Exotic Credit Derivatives Pricing and Risk Analytics Business.
Following the 2008 crisis Simon has focused on advisory services and prior to joining BDO has led similar practices at leading advisory firms delivering financial services, valuation and risk services across a range of asset classes.
Simon is a member of the Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
