Steve Le Bas

Steve has over 25 years' experience as an accountant and auditor. He has been an audit partner for seven years and has led the Southampton audit department since 2020. Although he specialises in the motor sector, he has worked with a wide range of audited entities, ranging from turnover of £5m to over £1bn and from owner managed businesses to PE backed and listed businesses.

Steve leads the firm’s motor retail team. This includes colleagues from tax, corporate finance, business restructuring and risk assurance services. He has over 20 years' industry experience working with motor trade organisations, whether it be ensuring their statutory duties are fulfilled or providing support and advice to businesses and the sector. He has also assisted in due diligence assignments for prospective motor trade purchasers and refinance discussions with funders. As part of this commitment to the sector Steve and the team produce several industry leading documents such as the BDO Motor 150 report and the BDO motor salary survey.
