Toby Ankers

I am a director in the Transaction Services team based at our London office. I have over 10 years of experience, focusing on due diligence reviews for acquisitions by private equity (PE) and corporate clients (both buy-side and sell-side), pre-lending reviews for banks and capital markets work.

I have a particular specialism on transactions in the Consumer sector, including retail and e-commerce, leisure and hospitality, professional sports and betting and gaming businesses.

I recently completed a year-long secondment to the M&A team at Marks & Spencer, where I was responsible for screening M&A opportunities, and building investment models and strategic proposals, with direct reporting to the senior stakeholders. The experience of working in a FTSE 100 listed retailer was particularly valuable and helps me understand what makes a difference to a transaction in the retail sector and how I can add value.

Outside of work I spend my time looking after my young son, walking the dog and playing as much sport as possible when I get a free moment!
