Viral Desai

Viral has over 25 years of valuation experience and has performed valuations for public and private companies in a wide range of industries across the globe including for financial reporting and tax, as well as for commercial and transaction related purposes.

He has led multi-disciplinary teams providing pre-deal and post-deal valuation support for a range of scenarios, from pricing analysis to purchase price allocations, as well as acting as independent expert and in dispute situations on many occasions. He also has extensive experience of providing valuations in the context of restructuring and reorganisations.

He joined BDO in 2024 from a competitor where he was a partner in the Valuations team in Corporate Finance with a particular focus on banking, fintech and investment management. His wider financial services experience covers numerous sectors including Corporate and Retail Banking, Insurance (General, Life and the Lloyds Market) and Investment and Wealth Management.

Viral is a Fellow of the ICAEW.
