Waheed Mahroof

I am a Valuations Director at BDO, specialising in valuations for financial reporting purposes with a particular focus on intangible assets and purchase price allocations, share based payments and goodwill/impairment assessments.

I work with a range of acquisitive corporate clients – both UK plc's and private businesses including PE backed businesses - where acquisitions are usually part of the business strategy. My approach is to work collaboratively with clients, providing well considered expert advice and guiding them through the audit process on such matters.

I have 20 years of valuation experience including assignments with several FTSE 100 businesses. This experience, along with insights into different business models and scenario's as well as regular dialog with my clients' external audit specialists has really helped me develop my professional judgement. I also keep on-top of developments in my field through regular interactions with other specialists and relevant professional bodies both locally and internationally.

Outside of my professional activities, you'll regularly find me at my local cricket club either playing, coaching, or supporting the running of the club. It's a great way for me to switch off and relax. I am also married, have 3 children, and enjoy spending time with my family.
