BDO enters strategic partnership with Shopworks Limited

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has entered into a strategic partnership with international retail consultancy Shopworks Limited designed to improve the financial, operational, and strategic performance of both parties’ consumer markets clients.

Shopworks’ solutions and processes are designed to increase retail performance by optimising the elements that shape shopper behaviour in the physical retail environment. Using a proven methodology backed by robust insights and data tools, Shopworks helps retail, leisure, and hospitality clients drive profitability and achieve their business objectives.

BDO provides a wide range of professional services, predominantly to mid-sized, high growth businesses via its 18 UK offices and its comprehensive global network spanning 166 countries.

This strategic partnership enables both entities to harness their respective expertise and capabilities to deliver commercial analysis and accounting services to clients in consumer markets, including sectors such as retail, hospitality, and leisure.

The partnership also aims to establish a centre of excellence that offers a comprehensive range of commercial advisory services to clients, thereby enhancing access to retail and commercial management expertise at both domestic and international levels.

Tim Foster, partner at BDO, said:

"I am very excited by the opportunity our strategic partnership with Shopworks creates. The increasing accessibility of data provides a significant opportunity to guide clients to utilise their own data more effectively and integrate it with existing external data to enhance decision making at both operational and strategic levels. This partnership will broaden the scope and depth of the advisory services we can offer and complements the important work we are already engaged in within this area."

Craig Phillipson, Managing Director of Shopworks said:

“We are delighted to be working with leading accountancy and business advisory firm BDO. Their experience and knowledge will help us to jointly deliver better solutions for all of our collective clients. We are excited to get started.”

Simon Gallagher, BDO’s Head of Consulting said:

“I look forward to seeing this partnership develop and add more value to our growing consulting and advisory services for clients.”
