Steve Carr

Steve is Managing Director in the Debt Advisory team in London. He and the team advise a wide range of private equity owned, private and listed companies on public and private debt capital markets.

Prior to joining BDO Steve spent 32 years with Lloyds Banking Group, starting in retail banking, SME business banking, corporate credit and finally leveraged finance. Steve spent ten years as an originator in the mid-market Strategic Debt Finance unit, the last four as Director, where he was responsible for lending to corporate and private equity owned businesses with EBITDA of up to £25m in a wide variety of sectors.

As a lender to mid-market private equity-owned companies over such a long period of time, Steve has a wealth of experience from which to advise businesses and their owners who seek debt from both clearing banks and non-bank lenders.
